The QuikBILL system provides students and parents
with one place to go online for student bills, current
balances, online payments and the monthly install-
ment payment plan. Only the student can set up an
Authorized Payer in QuikBILL. Once set up in the
QuikBILL system, parents can review a student’s
financial account and conduct business with JMU
whenever it is convenient for them.
IMPORTAnT ITeMS
FOR AUTHORIZed
PAYeRS:
n A copy of the semester
bill can easily be printed
from the .pdf (portable
document file).
n E-mail notification is
sent to the student and
Authorized Payer only
when the initial semester
bill is processed. All
changes (payments, new
charges, adjustments,
etc.) to the account that
occurs after the initial
semester bill can be
viewed in the “Current
Balance” link. When the
due date for the semester
bill has passed, the current
bill will move into
the “Billing History” file.
n All online payments
can be viewed in “Payment
History.”
n Authorized Payers
now have the ability to
reset passwords.
n Parents who prefer not
to pay online may mail a
check to the JMU University
Business Office
or make a cash or check
payment in person at the
cashier counter in Warren
Hall during regular
business hours.
n The monthly installment
payment plan
can be set up under
the “Make a Payment”
link. The plan is interest
free but has a $30
per semester enrollment
fee. There are five payments
for each semester
and the first payment
for the fall 2008 semester
was due on July 5.
But it’s not too late to
take advantage of the
four- or three-payment
plan for the remainder
of the fall semester. Late
enrollees are required to
make a down payment
to catch up. Payers may
also set up payment for
spring semester with five
monthly installments.
Payers will need to
provide either checking
account or credit card
(MasterCard, American
Express or Discover)
information for the
scheduled automatic
debits each month.
n For assistance in
determining the budget,
setting up the account
or any questions about
QuikBILL, please call

ubo@jmu.edu or visit the
frequently asked questions
Web site at www.
jmu.edu/ubo/faq.shtml.
n For convenience,
bookmark the Authorized
Payer log-in site (www.
jmu.edu/UBO/pay)
and use the “Authorized
Payer” link.M
